Mozart Concerto Competition

The Mozart Competition will be open to:
Pianists, Violinists, violists, cellists and French Horn players, Flutists, clarinetists, bassoonists, oboists, and trumpet players and transcriptions with orchestra parts available.
Entrants must be between 12 and 21 years of age.
The Entrance fee is $25.00
The First Place winners will receive $100 cash scholarships. The Senior Grand Prize is $500, Junior Grand Prize $200. Winners Will Perform with Four Seasons Orchestra.

Contestants need to provide the judges with three copies of their concerto movement.
Your Mozart Concerto movement must be memorized. Contestants must provide for their own pianist. We must be able to find orchestra parts for your Mozart Concerto, so please include the K#! Contestants need to sign up for a time between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Saturday April 2nd, 2011. You will receive written comments from a panel of orchestra members. First place winners will receive cash scholarships of $100. The First Place and Grand Prize Winners will have the opportunity to perform with the Four Seasons Orchestra on Saturday May 7th, 2011 at in Scottsdale. The Grand Prize is $500 for the Senior Division and $200 for the Junior Division.

Contestants will be judged on the following criteria for a total of 100 points:
Musicianship 25% Rhythm 20%
Tone 20 % Stage presence 15%
Technique 20 % Total 100%
